Intercontinental Ljubljana Finally Opens its Doors

Intercontinental Ljubljana – Missing Piece of A Beautiful Puzzle!

For some time, it was clear, that Ljubljana was missing a 5-star hotel, which could satisfy the most demanding guests.
With the rise of popularity of Ljubljana as a destination this problem started becoming even more evident. Luckily the situation changed when in 2015 it was announced that Ljubljana is getting its first 5-star hotel.

In only one year and a half, the Intercontinental Ljubljana hotel has been completed and on 25th of Augusta 2017 and finally opened its door to its first guests.

The new hotel Intercontinental Ljubljana has all together 165 rooms and 330 beds. It also features a presidential suite with 155 m², banquet hall, fitness, sauna, and a spa centre with a pool. The 19th floor is reserved for members of exclusive Intercontinental club.


The restaurant at Intercontinental Ljubljana is run by Alfredo Russo, who owns a famous Michelin star restaurant Dolce Stil Novo in Torino.

This Intercontinental will certainly become an important player in the congress tourism in Ljubljana, as it offers 5 convention halls. The larges hall has a capacity of 300 guests.


Visit Ljubljana this Winter & Experience Best of Slovenia

As winter is approaching, DT Slovenia, would also like to present the 3 day sample program which includes Visiting Bled, Christmas market in Ljubljana with lots of activities.

Visit Ljubljana – Day 1:

Guests arrive to the Ljubljana Airport and are transferred to the Bled. At Bled, the visit the island and have lunch at the castle. After lunch they are transferred to Ljubljana, where they check-in to the hotel.
Some time after refreshments, they are taken to a Slovenian traditional restaurant, where they can enjoy a really Slovenian welcome dinner. After the dinner, they return to the hotel and overnight.


Visit Ljubljana – Day 2:

In the morning, guests have breakfast after which, they are taken to Krvavec ski resort where they participate in various winter sports such as skiing, snow sledging, snow shoe hiking or snow biking. Lunch is prepared in mountain chalet in Krvavec. After guests return back to Ljubljana, they have some time for refreshment.

In the evening, guides take guests around Christmas Ljubljana and the walking tour with visiting the Christmas market. In December music and laughter can be heard all around the city centre.

After a cup of mulled wine, guests are welcomed to a top restaurant in the city centre, where they have dinner. After the dinner, they return to the hotel and overnight.


Visit Ljubljana – Day 3

After the breakfast, guests drive to Postojna, where they visit the cave, decorated with live nativity. Postojna is one of the most beautiful caves in the world and is famous for its Christmas decoration.

After the visit guests return back to Ljubljana, where they are part of gourmet tour of Ljubljana. After lunch guests return to the hotel, check-out and depart back to the Ljubljana Airport.
